WiFi Guest Access
Share guest network credentials in one scan.
A WiFi QR code stores your network name (SSID), password, and encryption type in a standard WIFI: string. When a guest scans the code, their phone prompts to join the network — no hunting for a password on a chalkboard or receipt.
Hotels, cafés, co-working spaces, Airbnb hosts, and offices use guest WiFi QR codes at reception desks, table tents, and room folders. Print one code per location or generate separate codes for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz guest SSIDs.
This template pre-fills a WPA network example. Replace the SSID and password with your real guest credentials, pick brand colors, and download a print-ready file. The QR works offline once printed — scanning does not require internet, only the radio link to your router.
Example: WIFI:T:WPA;S:CafeGuest;P:Welcome2024;;
Frequently asked questions
Does a WiFi QR code work without internet?
Yes. The QR only carries WiFi credentials. The phone uses its Wi-Fi radio to join your local network. Internet access depends on your router settings, not the QR itself.
Is this compatible with iPhone Camera?
Yes. iOS 11 and later recognizes WiFi QR payloads in the Camera app and shows a Join Network prompt. Android 10+ handles them natively as well.
Can I hide the password on the printed sign?
Yes. The password is encoded inside the QR matrix, not printed as plain text. Only share the QR with people you want on the guest network.
Does it support WPA, WEP, and open networks?
Yes. Choose WPA (recommended), WEP, or no password (nopass) in the generator before exporting your WiFi QR code.
